Shrewsbury director, producer and dance historian Maggie Love will talk to us about 'The History of Dance'. As well as being a Shrewsbury Town Guide, Maggie is also Director of Shropshire Youth Theare. Her career has included West End musicals, films, top acting schools and a stint in America. She left Shrewsbury aged 17 to train as a dancer and within a few years was choreographing her first West End musical: Grease, with Su Pollard – who went on to star in TV comedy Hi De Hi – and Tracey Ullman. Her film credits include: working on the dance sound for Fame (1980), a dancer in Heaven’s Gate (1980), and various music videos.

Tropic's founder, Susie Ma, drew inspiration for Tropic from two sources: The first was her grandma, a medicinal chemist and toxicologist, who taught her that our skin needs feeding with nourishing, healthy ingredients just as much as our bodies. The second was her upbringing in Cairns, tropical North Queensland, Australia, where fresh aloe vera plants and exotic fruit trees pretty much grew on her doorstep!
